To be held this year for the fifth time, Ambiente Rossija 2003 once again stands for high-grade brands, design and quality.
Around 200 exhibitors from twelve countries will present their current collections of glass, porcelain, ceramics, cutlery, kitchen dishes, furniture, accessories, decorations, pictures, frames and beauty products at Moscow''s Central House of Artists.
Covering almost 5,000 square metres of exhibition space, the event reflects the lively developments taking place on the Russian market: the awareness of Russian consumers for good product quality is growing alongside their buying power, as is their interest in superior design, especially from western countries. Italy is particularly well represented at this year''s Ambiente Rossija, as are Turkey, Spain and Denmark. The ''German Living'' special exhibition will export a piece of Germany to Russia. Together with German Association of the Trade Fair Industry (Ausstellungs- und Messeausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. Berlin - AUMA), the Association of the Steel and Metalworking Industry (Wirt-schaftsverband Stahl- und Metall-verarbeitung e.V.) and Messe Frankfurt GmbH, the German Ministry for Economics and Employment is promoting the participation of German exhibitors in Ambiente Rossija. Thus, companies such as Leonardo, Bree Collection, F.X. Nachtmann, Vil-leroy & Boch and Weseler Leuchten have signed up to present consumer goods from their country within the framework of ''German Living''.
Ambiente Rossija was held parallel to Paperworld and Christmasworld Rossija over the last five years. However, the continuous growth of Ambiente Rossija means that it can now fill the Central House of Artists without the other two events. Accordingly, Paperworld and Christmasworld Rossija will be held at the same venue this year but somewhat earlier, in September.
Of the approximately 100 fairs held by Messe Frankfurt last year, around two thirds were held outside Germany. This year''s worldwide programme of events includes 14 events for the consumer-goods sector, five of which will be held in Frankfurt am Main. With 16 subsidiaries and over 50 representatives for around 100 countries, Messe Frankfurt keeps its finger on the pulse of the age. Accordingly, it can detect international developments at an early stage and translate them into global trade-fair and marketing concepts.
