Italy : Stonefly goes to China

Stonefly, the Italian footwear company, is planning to venture into the Chinese market. The Montebelluna-based company will enter into a joint venture with a Chinese manufacturer, board chairman Andrea Tomat stated. At present only 10 per cent of the collection is still produced in Italy, with the majority being manufactured in Romania, Bulgaria and Morocco. Following a start-up phase of three years, Mr Tomat expects sales in China to top € 10m.
