Textile giant Coats on Friday announced the launch of a new hi-tech colour management solution for the global clothing and footwear industry.
Called Coats Colour Management Solution (CCMS), the state-of-the-art web-based package helps users manage colour from its initial creation to product "in store" through process analysis and global accreditation services.
"As world market leader in thread and a key player in zip fasteners, our business is built on delivery of the right colour, consistently, across 66 countries worldwide" said Coats COO, Bryan Anderson, in a news release.
"Over the last decade, we have pioneered the development and deployment of colour technology across our own global business.
"This puts us in a firm position to provide a high quality product offer to the apparel and footwear supply chain. It fits well with our
strategy to provide technology-based sourcing solutions to retail organisations."
He added the elements of the CCMS can be deployed individually or as a package to meet the colour needs of retailers, agents, suppliers and manufacturers.
The software is also being rolled out across 40 Coats dyehouses as the latest development for enhanced performance and productivity.
