There''s about three weeks to go before the staging of what promises to be the best Caribbean Fashion week yet. More than 200 local and international designers, production crews, showroom operators, buyers and media personnel have already confirmed their attendance. The four-day extravaganza will see some of the world''s finest stars of international runway including Pulse''s twin sensations Nadine Willis and Jaunel McKenzie.
The week will include exhibitions, seminars and workshops aimed at preparing designers to capitalise on the increased buyer interest anticipated at next year''s show scheduled for the new date, June 2004.
Some of the favourite designers expected to participate include: Roger Gary (Guyana/New York), Claudia Pegus, Robert Young, Gregory Mills, and Zero Gravity from Trinidad and Tobago, Mutamba, Moncrieffe, Biggy, the Mushroom, Uzuri, SIIM, and Pat Wright from Jamaica. Nefertari from Barbados, Corinne Baesberg from St Lucia, several newcomers from New York, Miami, London, Guadeloupe, the Bahamas and other countries inside and outside the region.
