As may as 1,000 foreign and domestic companies will participate in an industrial machinery expo series, with the first meeting to open today at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City.
From November 22 to 25 on the textile and garment industries will display machines used in sewing, dyeing, bleaching and embroidery.
Exhibitors hail from mainland China, the EU, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the US and Vietnam. They are keen to explore markets in Vietnam, which have achieved a combined annual economic growth rate of more than nine percent over the last ten years.
The event has been co-organized by Vinexad, the fair service company EX and Hong Kong’s Paper Communication Company.
According he the Ministry of Planning and Investment, imports of engineering equipment and machinery will increase 9.8 percent next year.
The first event of the series is for the Vietnam International Woodworking Industry. The second event on Machine Tools and Automation will take place between November 5 and 8, which will be followed by the third expo to be held from November 14 to 17 on machines for use in the plastic, packing, printing and food processing industries.
