Trash Fashion On Show |
2003-10-28
Trash to Fashion is nearly here. More than 200 designers will compete in eight categories during the annual extravaganza on October 31 and November 1.
This year''s event has been promoted with help from Steve Woodward whose sculpture, made mostly of tin cans, has been displayed throughout Auckland.
The sculpture is now on show at Corban Estate Arts Centre in Henderson.
Trash to Fashion sees designers creating award-winning garments from recyclables.
Director Amanda Wright says all of the costumes are finished and rehearsals and set construction are well under way.
The show also features a violinist, opera singer, an Asian dance troupe and stunt performers.
