Apparel exports from the Turkish province of Bursa increased 26 per cent between January and October 2003, compared to the same period a year earlier.
A statement by the Uludag Exporters Association also revealed textile exports from the region rose a similar 25 per cent in the period against last years figure.
Overall textile and apparel exports from Bursa, meanwhile, were worth US$948.26 million for the first half of the year, up from $757.68m in the first half of 2002.
Bursa exports textile products to nine free zones and 117 countries and autonomous regions worldwide, and garments to eight free zones and 89 countries and autonomous regions.
