Exports Of Textiles Increases By 28 Percent |

BURSA - Exports of textiles from northwestern province of Bursa increased by 28 percent while exports of ready-made clothing dropped by 2 percent in June of 2004. The Uludag Exporters'' Association told the A.A on Saturday that exports of textiles increased 28 percent from 42 million 143 thousand U.S. dollars in June of 2003 to 53 million 806 thousand U.S. dollars in June of 2004. Exports of ready-made clothing dropped 2 percent from 50 million 478 thousand U.S. dollars to 49 million 528 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period. Meanwhile, exports of textiles rose 27.6 percent to 355 million 462 thousand U.S. dollars in January-June period of 2004, and exports of ready-made clothing climbed 0.2 percent to 297 million 624 thousand U.S. dollars.
