THAILAND: Textile Industry To Get ERP Link-Up |

Thailand’s government has announced a plan to link up the entire domestic textile industry via an online enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.According to Industrial Economics Office (IEO) director-general Chutaporn Lampasar, a team of IT experts are currently working on designing a system linking every factory in the country.Once operational, she said, it would facilitate the swift and efficient exchange of information between Thai textile firms.“This solution will contribute significantly to the connection of the supply chain management system, ranging from production planning, production control, selling and marketing, inventory, and product purchase order and delivery,” Chutaporn said.She said the IEO had teamed up with the Textile Industry Development Institute to assist in developing the ERP solution.
