Excellent response for spring-Summer Fashion Fair in Hong Kong |

The Spring-Summer Fashion Fair 2005, the largest of its kind so far opened in Hong Kong on Tuesday last.
With over 760 garment companies from 15 countries and territories, the participation this year was 48 percent higher than the previous fair.
About 400 participants are from Hong Kong, up 31 percent, and the remainders are foreign companies, up 75 percent. They represent India, the Republic of Korea, Macao, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Viet Nam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia, the US and France.
A workshop on the development of the fashion and garment industry of countries is being held concurrently with six fashion shows, a contest on designs and an award ceremony for best designers.
The Hong Kong''s main export item – readymade garments posted a hefty earning of 23.1 billion USD in 2003.
The Hong Kong Fashion Fair is considered Asia’s as well as the world’s leading fashion event. |
