The Textile and Apparel Manufacturers and Merchants Association (TAMM) held its inauguration and first annual conference recently on Kiawah Island, SC.
Formed as a result of the merger of the South-East Apparel and Textile Manufacturers and the South-West Apparel and Textile Manufacturers associations, TAMM plans to “… facilitate communications and education through the exchange of ideas within the entire supply chain of fiber, textile and apparel suppliers and retailers … and to foster relationships within the supply chain.”
Howard Virkler, Da’Mage Clothing Co., and Bill Courtney, Rocky Mountain Clothing Co., served as co-presidents during the formation period. Marc Shervin, Mainzer Minton Co., has been elected president for 2005. Sid Smith, Salco Consulting LLC, has been appointed executive director. |
