India:Reliance’s Trevira team announced |

Recent corporate acquisition of Reliance Textile Industries Limited, the German fibre and yarn manufacturer Trevira, has got a new management team.
By doing so, Relaince has completed all financial formalities and acquired transfer of ownership and management control of Trevira.
Trevira CEO Bernd Sassenrath, has been retained to lead the management team. Other directors include Jurgen Muth (finance and controls, IT and personnel), Dr Jurgen Idzko (production, technology, R&D, environment, health and safety) and Hemant Sharma (marketing, sales and supply chain management).
Subodh Sapra as Chairman would head a new supervisory board with Messers Gunther Gunzenheimer and Hans-Joachim Becker as members to supervise the management board.
Trevira has a capacity of 1,30,000 tons per annum of polyester fibre and yarn, spread over four locations in Europe, namely Bobingen and Guben (Germany), Silkeborg (Denmark) and Quevaucamps (Belgium), and a state-of-the-art research and development (R&D) facility at Bobingen.
Reliance through this acquisition and its expansions underway in India, has the combined total polyester fibre and filament yarn capacity in the excess of 1.8 million tons making it the largest polyester fibre and yarns producer in the world. |
