The 2004 Annual TTNA Conference On Advanced Materials For The Environment & The Production Of Energy will be held on Tuesday November 23, 2004 at Victoria, Australia, informs the official release.
Protection of the environment, preservation of scarce resources and the production of energy are globally important issues for producers and consumers alike. The impact of society and industry on the natural environment is becoming increasingly important. The sustainability of all of the Australian industry is being more frequently questioned. Steps are being taken to address the environmental problems brought about by the effects of agriculture, mining and manufacturing.
Water usage, pollution control, energy generation and consumption are key areas to be addressed in developing sustainable industries and their solutions offer numerous opportunities for technical and nonwoven textiles and fibres.
This conference will feature papers with a focus on technical textile and nonwoven developments for the production of energy and sustainability of the environment. It also provides an opportunity for members of the community to advocate their needs from the textiles manufacturers and suppliers.
People who will benefit from this conference will include personnel from technical textiles and nonwoven producers, service providers, converters and suppliers, from mid to upper level management; research and development; sales and marketing; academia; machinery and equipment manufacturers and suppliers; suppliers of fibres, chemicals and finishes; federal and state government and statutory body representatives, and end-users of technical woven and nonwoven textiles, according to the release.
The program will include a range of national and international speakers which are highlighted on the ''Notice Board'' of the website – www.ttna.com.au.
