DAK Fibers began notifying its polyester staple fibre customers that all of its staple fiber products sold to home furnishings, apparel, industrial, and fiberfill markets will be subject to a $.03/lb price increase effective with shipments beginning October 25, 2004.
According to Hector Camberos, CEO DAK Americas LLC, global prices of polyester ingredients continue to rise and DAK Fibers can no longer absorb these increases in the costs of it¹s polyester staple product line.
DAK Fibers understands the stress that the entire industry is facing, but it must offset these ingredient increases in order to remain a quality supplier in this market. DAK Fibers remains committed to the polyester staple business.
DAK Americas is a wholly owned business of Alpek S.A. de C.V. |
