Pakistan:Trend continues in cotton procurement |

Cotton prices were fueled by the continued trend of textile and spinning mills, exporters and Trading Corporation of Pakistan purchasing cotton last week.
In Sindh cotton was purchased from Rs. 1850 to Rs. 1975 per 40 kg while in Punjab its rates remained from Rs. 1950 to Rs. 2000 per 40 kg.
Trading Corporation of Pakistan remained active for procurement of cotton during the last week.
According to TCP Chairman Masood Alam Rizvi, TCP signed agreements for purchase of 2,75,000 bales of cotton. He said that TCP would continue purchasing cotton until its price matches with Government fixed prices. |
