China:Source It’ Asean’s textile, apparel & fashion fair announced |

Hong Kong will be the venue of the Asean trade show, ‘Source It’ featuring the regions textile, apparel, fashion and related industries, to be held from March 21 to 23 next year.
This was announced by Phongsak Assakul, President of the Thai Textile Manufacturing Association.
The "Source It" event was created to promote ASEAN as a fully integrated sourcing region offering a wide range of products covering the entire textile industry including fibre textiles, fabrics, garment, machinery as well as design and licence services.
Phongsak, who is also managing director of Bangkok Weaving Mills Ltd, is now heavily promoting the event.
The event will be organized by Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd, the Hong Kong chapter of the Frankfurt trade fair agency, Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
At the last "Source It - Asean" event held in March this year in Hong Kong, there were 10 Malaysian companies showcasing their products.
Katy Lam, director (trade fairs) of Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong), said she expected more exhibitors from Malaysia at the 2005 event.
To illustrate the diversity of the ASEAN region, Messe Frankfurt and the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) will hold a series of catwalk fashion shows during the 2005 fair.
ASEAN designers will be able to showcase their talent and creativity to an audience scouting for originality. |
