Berghaus, a British outdoor apparel maker, is going to launch bike clothing under licence by Raw Experience of Edinburgh. The first products will be introduced this autumn.
Berghaus Bike products will be available for Autumn/Winter 2004 in a range of technical clothing. The collection will consist of Gore-Tex jackets and overtrousers, along with insulated water resistant jackets and other waterproof, breathable products.
Berghaus Bike will expand to include other cycling specific clothing and equipment in 2005.
Tony Wood, Managing Director of Berghaus said, “The bike market is an important sector within outdoors and one in which Berghaus can make an impact."
"Berghaus Bike is a natural extension to our brand,” Wood added.
George Bowie, Managing Director of Raw Experience said, “Berghaus has a fantastic heritage in the outdoors and this agreement represents a logical move into a market that needs performance brands to drive it forward. There isn’t a better name than Berghaus with which to do that."
