Vietnam:Viet Tien Garment Company ranks first among
garment and embroidery industry |

Garment manufacturer Viet Tien Garment Company has been ranked first as the best enterprise in the garment and embroidery industry for 2004.
The Ho Chi Minh City-based company, which makes shirts, trousers and T-shirts, has also been selected one of Viet Nam''s top five commodity enterprises in 2004.
Viet Tien Garment Company has earned $130 million from exports this year, 85 percent more than in 2000.
The company sells its products to 52 countries worldwide, with the US market accounting for 35 percent and the EU, 25 percent, of its total exports.
VTEC has won 153 medals of different kinds at domestic and international trade fairs.
Nguyen Dinh Truong, Director General of the company, said, “ VTEC has established more enterprises and joint-ventures in Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Tien Giang and Vinh Long provinces and Can Tho city, creating jobs for 5,000 more labourers.”
