Spain’s leading fashion exhibition Semana Internacional de la Mode de Madrid (SIMM) will be bigger and more international at its winter edition, which will run in Madrid from 11 to 14 February 2005.
According to organiser Ifema, some 1,029 companies from 29 countries have booked for the event, and there are still six weeks to go. In winter last year, 960 companies showed at SIMM, which will increase exhibition space by 1,500 square metres to almost 38,000 square metres for the upcoming event.
The number of non-Spanish companies has increased to 525. For the first time, SIMM will host exhibitors from Hungary, Macedonia and Sri Lanka.
As a result of increased marketing efforts, Ifema has also attracted more companies from South America, which will be offered special events.
Exhibitors will be able to attend catwalks by designers from Peru, Brazil and Colombia as part of the relaunched "Moda Viva" shows. During the ‘Pasarela Cibeles’ fashion week, which takes place alongside SIMM, 28 of the most important Spanish designers will show their collections |
