Israel:Bagir brings new tumble dry machine washable

Israeli company Bagir (1961) Ltd. introduced today its tumble dry machine washable men''s tailored suit. This is the first successful implementation of a machine washable wool-based suit, which can be tumble dried in a regular dryer that is both crease resistant and environmentally safe. The suits will be offered in the United States and Europe in the upcoming seasons, and is globally patented (pending).
Known for its innovation in men''s and women''s tailored clothes, Bagir in the past two years has successfully launched highly innovative tailored suits and garments, such as the comfortable AeriFlex(R) suit, which allows for unprecedented arm movement flexibility without stretching the jacket and AquaFit(R), the environmentally safe machine washable suit which became an instant commercial success.
It took extensive research and development at Bagir in developing the suit innovation, which included reanalyzing the suit''s make and construction, sourcing and experimentation with various materials from around the world. During the lengthy testing process, suits of various compositions underwent 30 washes and 30 tumble dry cycles, with assessment of quality after every five cycles. When compared to suits of the same fabric that were dry-cleaned 30 times, the suits proved themselves to be either identical or better in quality, depending on the color variation.
Although the value proposition of the suit is based on easy care, Bagir''s tumble dry machine washable suit stands out for its crease resistance and crease recovery, two traits that maintain the suit''s shape and wrinkle-free appearance. More so, the true revolution is in the tested results that show that the tumble-dry suit has better crease resistance than its predecessor the regular machine washable suit, which was hung to drip-dry.
Bagir stresses that the technology is ripe, and assesses that the patents are likely to be granted and strong enough to face any copying and may be done.
Bagir (1961) Ltd has launched its products under a variety of private labels owned by retail chains in the UK, USA, Germany, Spain and Israel. It has four international sales offices, located in the UK, USA, Switzerland and Turkey. |
