IMAGES and LYCRA presented some of the biggest names in the retail and fashion spheres for IMAGES FASHION FORUM 2005 (IFF''05) at the Renaissance Hotel, Powai, in Mumbai on Jan 19-20, 2005.
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Kamal Nath and Union Minister for Textiles, Shankarsinh Vaghela provided the view from the top.
Shopper''s Stop, Pantaloon Retail India Ltd., ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Ltd., Arvind Brands, Piramyd Retail & Merchandising Ltd., Century Textiles & Industries Ltd., Madura Garments and the DLF Group representing India''s retail, real estate and fashion intelligence bureaus and their heads and executives of renowned powerhouses made special presentation during the two day event.
IFF 2005 provided the necessary platform for attracting more brands, more experts and more retailers to help ‘fashion the future'' of retail in India.
The two-day event brought together leading global and Indian names in the world of fashion branding, retailing, merchandising, location selection, store designing, systems and security to share perspectives and build a knowledge base unique to Indian expectations. Calvin Klein, Arvind, Pantaloon, Barista, DAKS, In Orbit, Welspun, Titan, Century, Gini & Jony, Gili, Liberty, Melange, Siyarams and others were some of the leading exhibitors at the show.
There was earful from gurus of the retail industry like World Marketer of the Year Winner Bob Pritchard; former Creative Design Manager of Selfridges in London Tony Morgan; Invista Ltd''s Poya Tsai (Taiwan); Business Development Director – Asia of Lenzing Fibers Hans Leitner; Managing Director of Retail Planning Innovations and former Director of TESCO Paul Etgart; Design Director - Wedgwood (London) Anna Pretty; Retail & Consumer Guru Barbara Wold; and General Manager of Kingdom Centre in Riyadh Walter Kleinschmit.
The IMAGES Yearbook was released during the event which contains the IMAGES-KSA India Retail Report 2005 and the Indian Apparel Market Study providing figures and details of the total Indian consumption, product, price and market segments.
The 5th Annual LYCRA Images Fashion Awards were also announced during the event. |
