The Czech footwear market is going downhill as is evident from the facts.
The Czech shoe production dropped from 71 million pairs in 1990 to just 5 million pairs last year, said Petr Kubat, President of the Association of Czech Shoemakers.
The Chinese-made footwear has captured almost three-quarters of the Czech shoe market, he informed this week.
The price factor comes to the fore as Czech shoemakers are unable to match the dragon’s pricing strategy, he lamented. |
