Israel:Technical textiles output up at $434.4 million in 2004 |

Figure for production of technical textile in Israel show a rise at $434.4 million in 2004, up from $276.5million in 2000, the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry said Tuesday.
The figures were announced as meet between British and Israeli textile experts gathered at a conference organized by the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, the British Embassy, The Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry and the Israeli Association for Textile and Fashion.
Nearly three-quarters of the country''s technical textiles, worth about $310m., were exported last year.
As regards technical textile production of Britain the figure is estimated at £1.2 billion and growing. Notable sectors include medical, transportation, agricultural and self-defense equipment, as well as clothing and sportswear. |
