Number of companies’ licenses to explore for and mine diamonds, revoked in the Arkhangelsk region by The Russian Natural Resources Ministry''s commission that examines compliance with mining license conditions
The firm Gran would lose its rights to the Chidvinskaya Ploshchad diamond deposit in the Arkhangelsk region because the company stopped work on geological surveys in 2003 and has not paid its debt on regular payments for the use of resources.
A similar decision has been made concerning Tatneft-Kraton, which held a license to prospect for and mine diamonds at the Dvino-Pinezhskaya and Svetlanskaya fields in the Arkhangelsk region, because it has not carried out geological survey work. |
