Netherlands:Huntsman ups Geismar plant’s PUF capacity |

Global manufacturer and marketer of commodity and differentiated chemicals - Huntsman Corporation based at Geismar, La, said it will make major investments in its manufacturing plants in Geismar and Rozenburg, Netherlands to production capacity of a chemical used in polyurethane foam in a big way.
Huntsman will expand annual production capacity at Geismar to 990 (m) million pounds, more than six times the current 130 (m) million pounds.
Its Netherlands plant''s capacity will be raised to 880 (m) million pounds, from 220 (m) million pounds.
The plant is expected to be commissioned in 2006, being constructed at the cost of US$ 400 million total capital budget for 2005.
All its subsidiaries manufacture raw materials and chemicals for chemicals, plastics, automotive, aviation, footwear, paints and coatings, construction, technology, agriculture, health care, textiles, detergent, personal care, furniture, appliances and packaging industries. |
