UAE:Borouge ups polyethelene capacity to 580 kts/annum |

Through a major investment exercise to the tune of US $40 million, Abu Dhabi based Borouge Petrochemical complex has stepped up its Polyethylene production capacity to 580 kts per annum.
Earlier the Petrochemicals complex was built up at the cost of $1.2 billion having production Polyethelene capacity of 450 kilo tonnes (kts), which will now go up to 580 kts per annum, according to the company release.
The debottlenecking of the polyethlene plant has been successfully completed this month, the company informs.
Hubert Puchner, Chief Executive of Borouge Pte Ltd said, "The new capacity will be used to satisfy growing demand from customers from East Africa, the Middle East, the India sub-continent, Northeast and Southeast Asia and the Pacific region." |
