The 14th Annual Apparel Sourcing Show (APSS) to be held from 3-5 May in Guatemala City. The Apparel Sourcing Show is the only international show specialized in the apparel and textile industry in the CBI region. The CBI ranks as among the TOP supppliers to the U.S.A. apparel market.
Year by year, this industry’s most important suppliers of specialized machinery and technology, textiles, trimmings and services have met and done business in this show.
The US-Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) will feature prominently on the 2005 APSS Academic Program.
As well as creating new opportunities for US yarn and fabric producers, CAFTA has the potential to expand the ability of the Central American industry to offer speed-to-market fashion apparel.
Organized by VESTEX, Guatemala’s Commission of the Apparel and Textile Industry, the APSS is the major trade show for textile and apparel companies interested in doing business in Central America.
Combined with the success of the Apparel Sourcing Show in 2004 and the benefits of CAFTA, the year 2005 opens a new era to do business in one of the world’s most competitive apparel regions: the CBI.
The show includes a full range of international suppliers in the exhibition floor (textiles, trimmings, services and machinery), specialized seminars and conferences, and the opportunity to have perfect appointments between manufacturers from CBI garment factories with the contractors from U.S.A. and Canada by participating at the Matchmaking Meeting Program.
Last year’s APSS attracted more than 5,000 attendees from over 20 countries. |
