For most people sudden change is a daunting prospect. So this year''s termination of global quotas brings a great deal of uncertainty, and alarm, with the dawn of a brand new trading era.
But these changes will not be sudden, because in some instances, the effects of quota removal have happened already such as the closures in Europe and America''s knitting industries, which have been widely reported. But the spotlight has not shone too brightly on the huge raft of new product development, product differentiation and service improvements in the knitting industry.
This unique conference will address this balance. And it will look at the new post-2005 commercial environment through the eyes of the top names in the global knit-goods supply pipeline. Speakers drawn from around the globe include retailers, fabric producers, garment manufacturers, consultants, and fibres and yarn suppliers.
It aims to provide an ideal environment for delegates to exchange new ideas, strike up new partnerships, and to network with industry leaders. Above all, it will do exactly what it says: provide innovative solutions to the global challenges which face the knitting industry after 2005.
This conference is scheduled for June 20-12, 2005 in Manchester, UK. For more information visit http://www.wlic.ac.uk. |
