The comprehensive 3–day program includes various aspects of business, fashion and technology topics, carefully designed for manufacturers, designers, buyers, industry players and visitors in the textile and fashion industry.
18 October 2005: The first day of the seminar program will provide an excellent platform for knowledge sharing on business and international trade related issues. Mr. Thomas Travis, Managing Partner of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg P.A., a leading international trade and customs law firm, who has been actively advising importers and retailers on international trade issues for over 20 years, will start the program by analyzing and reviewing apparel sourcing in the textile industry. Program also includes other trade related topics by speakers from Cotton Incorporated, and International Trade Centre (UNCTAD/WTO).
19 October 2005: The second day seminar will focus on the latest fashion trends and directions. Catriona Macnab from WGSN will examine the global street trends, inspirational retail and design hotspots, while other speakers from Pantone, PIC Solutions, Cotton Inc etc will cover various interesting perspectives of the fashion industry.
20 October 2005: The seminar program closes with the highlights of AsiaFutureTex organised by Cientifica – a European based company specializing in nanotechnology. This seminar will introduce nanotechnology, and examine its applications and impact in the textile industry.
