DuPont's DuPont Filaments - Europe recently acquired the assets of German brush filament manufacturer Pedex. The acquisition will be finalized by October 31, 2005, pending regulatory approval. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The transaction reinforces DuPont's commitment to the filaments industry. As part of the agreement, DuPont Filaments - Europe will acquire Pedex's existing manufacturing assets, including approximately 130 employees; will gain ownership of various filament products and technologies; and will take over Pedex's marketing and sales distribution network.
Thierry Marin, Global Business Director, DuPont Filaments stated that the two companies complement each other perfectly. The successful integration of Pedex's innovative products and employees will reinforce the position of DuPont Filaments as a global supplier of high-performance filament solutions.
