Decline of the US textile and apparel industry has led to drop in imports particularly cotton yarn that has recorded significant drop.
Cotton yarn imports in September slid to 7,083 tons, registering a 12.4 percent annual drop, and at lowest level of imports in the last five years.
Despite adverse market situation, Pakistan topped as largest yarn exporter to the US whereas imports from Mexico and Canada have registered a decline.
