Yarn production in China reached 1.2474 million tons in October 2005, registering a slim growth from 1.2460 million tons in September.
Output also indicated a 29.32 percent year-on-year increase in production.
October recorded the seventh month-in-a-row double-digit monthly yarn production growth.
From January to October 2005, cumulative cotton yarn production reached 11.19 million tons, a 27.16 percent year-on-year growth.
Shandong was at the center of this growth with monthly production reaching 347,000 tons in October; a 56.38 percent year-on-year growth.
Jiangsu, Henan and Zhejiang also contributed in recording remarkable growth.
