Confederation of India Industry announced on November 14 that it has entered into cooperation agreement with four textile trade bodies in the European Union to promote Indo-European cooperation in textiles and apparels.

The European cooperation partners are: Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry, British Apparel & Textile Confederation, Union des Industries Textiles, France, and Hungarian Apparel Manufacturers Association.

Against this backdrop, CII is organizing SmatchIndiatex from February 27 to March 1, 2006 in Mumbai, and from March 2 to 3, 2006 in New Delhi. 50 companies from Germany, France, Hungary and the UK will be participating in the show and interacting with leading textile exporters in India, which include garments, fabrics, made-ups, spinning mills and others.
