Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China announced that the 8th session of China-Lithuania Joint Commission of Economy and Trade was held in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. Chairmen of the commission of Chinese Party and Lithuania Party jointly presided over the 8th session.

The two sides briefed trend of economic development of each country, reviewed and appraised China-Lithuania economic and trade cooperation and existing problems, discussed prospects and ways for further development, and exchanged views on issues of economy and trade developing unbalanced, the market economy status of China, textiles trade and cooperation, transportation and transshipment cooperation, Customs cooperation and tourism cooperation.

Ministry of Commerce to formulate development strategies, guidelines and policies of domestic and foreign trade and international economic cooperation, draft laws and regulations governing domestic and foreign trade, economic cooperation and foreign investment, devise implementation rules and regulations.
