Cellulosic fibres topped Japan's man-made fibre output in October. The total production stood at 9,871 tons, a 410.1 percent expansion, year-on-year basis. Cellulosic filament registered 20.8 percent increase in production at 3,044 tons in October. Acrylic staple, nylon filament and polyester staple registered 18.4, 12.5 and 6 percent decline respectively, during the month. Polyester filament output was up 1.9 percent, however, only acrylic staple and cellulosic filament production showed increase during January to October period, on a cumulative basis.
