The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) is organising, in cooperation with the Indian Embassy in Rabat, the third Indian Textile and Clothing Industry Exhibition on Dec. 22-23 in Casablanca.

Leading Indian manufacturing-exporting companies will present different product categories, including suitings, shirtings, dress material and furnishings, yarn, fabrics, and threads.
"The exhibition will showcase the fabulous range of Indian synthetic and blended fabrics to familiarise the Moroccan buyers with the capacity of India in the textile sector," said a press release issued by the Indian Embassy in Rabat.
The display also aims at further strengthening bilateral trade relations between the two countries in thetextile field.
"Though Morocco imports different types of textiles from different countries, presently Indian share in it is not very large. There is, therefore, tremendous potentials for expansion," added the release.
Exports of Indian synthetic and blended textiles reached USD 2,200 million in 2004-2005, going to 77 countries.
SRTEPC is an organisation sponsored by the Government of India. It gathers over 3,000 member exporters and helps oversees buyers form solid and profitable business relationships with Indian exporters of synthetic and rayon textile items.
