International Craft & Hobby Fair Ltd (ICHF) will arrange a National Show (Sewing for Pleasure) for all Textile Crafts. The show will take place during March 30 to April 2, 2006 at Birmingham, NEC Hall 12.

From the Oscar winning movie 'The Aviator', starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes, Gwen Stefani as Jean Harlow, Kate Beckinsale as Ava Gardner and Cate Blanchette as Katherine Hepburn, we proudly present a stunning display of 1930's evening costumes, from the gala premiere of Howard Hughes' blockbuster movie 'Hells Angels.'
Sandy Powell who has worked with Angels the famous costumiers on many productions including, 'Shakespeare in Love,' won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for 'The Aviator.'
Knit 'n' Natter Once again we are giving you the opportunity to take time out and learn or improve your hand-knitting techniques. Experts will be on hand to give you help, assistance and inspiration and allow you to work with different yarns as well as develop new and interesting designs and ideas.
The 'Queen Anne Bedroom' This display presented by The Crewel Work Company, will be a room setting with a four-poster bed and original Queen Anne period crewelwork drapes. The room will contain period pieces of furniture, plus more examples of antique crewelwork. Crewelwork demonstrations will take place on the stand by ladies in period dress.

Sit, relax and watch the Fashion Show which will be held at regular intervals throughout the four days of this magical event.
The Dressmakers Forum The specialist forum will provide you with the opportunity to peruse all the latest pattern books with experts on hand to unravel the mysteries of cutting out and making up, along with guidance on new products and where to find all your sewing 'notions' as the show.
…and a family day out Sewing for Pleasure provides fun for all the family. At the weekend there is a special area dedicated for young crafters, manned by a qualified youth worker and helpers. For a small charge you can leave the youngsters and enjoy the rest of the show!
