One important textile machinery show in Asia, ShanghaiTex 2006 reports that 75% of the anticipated exhibition area has been reserved following the recruitment of exhibitor launched in late 2005.

Within one month after official registration began, some 300 prestigious textile enterprises from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Singapore, Japan, China, HKSAR and Taiwan have confirmed to participate in the exhibition. Leading companies including Italian Santoni, Lonati, Smit, Swiss Saurer, German Moenus, Japanese Barudan, Pacific Mechatronic Group, Fong's National Engineering Co Ltd, Taiwan Yicheng and Eubon will exhibit their latest equipment to professional visitors.

ShanghaiTex 2006 will be held between July 5 to 8, 2006 at Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong with exhibition scale exceeding 50,000m2. The 2007 edition will be held in June 2007 (major year for ShanghaiTex) with exhibition scale maintained at 120,000m2.

ShanghaiTex is sponsored by the Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Corporation, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-Council and China Chamber of International Commerce Shanghai Chamber of Commerce. The fair is organized by Shanghai Textile Technology Service & Exhibition Center, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd and Shanghai International Exhibition Co Ltd.
