The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) and the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) will arrange a technical symposium on Italian textile machinery in China. The symposiums will occurr in Nanjing on next February 27th-28th, 2006.
At the technological meeting some Italian manufacturers of most requested equipments in the Chinese market will introduce their updated technologies, as well as exchanging views and ideas on technology and holding trade talks with local textile manufacturers.
China is the main market for the Italian companies involved in the production of textile machinery. In the first nine months of 2005 the Italian sales in China totalled a value of Euro 224 million that is 17 percent of the Italian total exports.
350 Italian companies (with 23,000 employees) that in 2005 produced machinery for a value of Euro 2,900 million, pay the highest attention to the requests of the textile industry to propose new solutions of innovation, productivity, safety with the utmost satisfaction of their clients.
The quality of the Italian textile technology is testified by the high number of Countries where the Italian machinery are sold: about 130. In 2005 exports represent 76 percent of total sales (worth Euro 2,200 million).
Asia (with a share of 41 percent) is the main destination for Italian sector exports, followed by European countries extra-EU (21 percent), European Union (19 percent), Latin America (7 percent) and North America (6 percent).
The symposium is part of a promotional programme that ACIMIT and ICE have been realizing in the Chinese market for many years. In 2006 it includes also the Italian partecipation at CITME Beijing on next October.
ACIMIT is a private non-profit making body.
