Pakistan : Cotton prices move up slightly |

Spot prices opened up firm aby Rs 15 to close at Rs 2525 per maund at the Karachi Cotton Association.
For most of last week, spot prices remained stable at Rs 2510.
The prices leapt back to Rs2510 per maund from earlier level of Rs2525.
Market withnessed hectic activity as majority of the stations reported significtan trading activity indicating arrival of new crop.
Active stations that reported cotton transcations were:
5000 bales at Upper Sindh for Rs 2575, 1000 bales at Ali Pur worth Rs2575, at Bhawalpur, 2000 bales changed hands for Rs2575, another 1000 bales were sold at Burewala for Rs2575, Rahimyar Khan reported 2000 bales changing hands at Rs2575, 1000 bales got sold in Duniyapur for Rs2575 and finally Raja ram reported 600 bales transaction at Rs2575 per maund. |
