Source It - the specialist fabric and apparel trade fair that highlights and promotes products from the ASEAN region - will take place from 4 - 6 October 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

In addition to the booth displays showing fabrics, garments and accessories from ASEAN suppliers, there will be a special ‘ASEAN Integration Booth’ giving information on how the textile industries of member countries are working together on joint promotion, a Buyer-Supplier Forum, and fashion shows; all designed to educate and inform buyers about ASEAN textiles and garments.

ASEAN textile manufacturers are facing competition that the new quota-free era brings head-on. Many view Source It in Hong Kong as an optimum location for promoting their capabilities and strengths, and for highlighting themselves as a viable sourcing point for fabric and garment buyers.

The concept of the fair is aligned with that of the ‘ASEAN Integration Cluster Programme’, which allows each country to highlight its individual strength, as well as enhancing complementarity between the members.

The special fringe events and exhibits at the 2006 fair will help educate and inform buyers about what the ASEAN region has to offer. They include:
