China : adidas plans to peak in Asian markets by 2010 |

adidas has plans to achieve the foremost place in Chinese markets before Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and further would like to clinch the first place in Asian markets by 2010, stated the Chairman of adidas, Herbert Hainer.
At present, adidas has 2600 retail shops in China and is planning to escalate up to 4000 outlets across 540 cities by 2008 and thereafter will soar to 5000 by 2010.
Hainer stated that their sale in Asian markets has increased by 22 percent in the first half of 2006; however the increase of sales ratio of their major competitor was only 13 percent.
adidas has planned a world wide sales target of 2.5 billion European dollars by 2010, inclusive of 1 billion European dollars of sale in Chinese markets. |
