China : Textiles proved world-beater |

Textile production capacity, output and export all take the leading positions in the world.
There are total 45,000 apparel makers in the country with more than 5.6 million employees, among which 0.8 percent are technical personnel with university diplomas.
Over 80 percent business of these units is to process against foreign orders or works on given samples and use imported fabrics from the importer.
The main production technology is focused on studying and duplicating given samples.
This does not need much skill in design. Shanghai currently has over 20,000 companies in various clothing processing chains, so high-end fashion personnel are also in urgent need. |
