On October 30, 2006, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China announced 'the total export quota for agricultural products, industrial products and silk-related products in 2007'.

According to the announcement, all qualified applicants can present quota applications through local authorities or directly to Ministry of Commerce during November 1-15.

Among the total limited quantity, the export quota of silk-related textile products is 2.1 million tons, and the export quota of cocoon-related textile products is three million tons in 2007.
