The history of ITM exhibitions traces back to BUR-TEX 2002 trade fair organized in Bursa / Turkey in 2002 and there the decision to organize ITM exhibitions was taken. Consequently the first edition of ITM exhibitions was held on 1-6 June 2004 proving itself as a trade mark. The second edition was organized as ITM 2006 on 27 June ¨C 02 July 2006. Sheduled to be organized every two years, ITM exhibitions next edition was supposed to be held in 2008.

Due to the fact that other textile machinery trade fair organizers changed their dates; as Teknik Ltd. we changed the date of the next ITM exhibition and shifted it to May 2009 after negotiations with leading textile machinery manufacturers. ITM exhibitions¡¯ concept is to be a technology show and in order to preserve its concept and status our desicion to shift the dates of our exhibition is the best way as after ITMA 2007 Munich it is not possible to observe new technologies in 8 months time.

Teknik Ltd., observing the developments in textile industry both via its publications and experiences, had taken this decision for the textile industry' benefit.

The next edition of ITM exhibitions will be organized at Istanbul on the previous fair ground.
