During January-April 2007, China's table fabric product exports reached US $120 million, a boost of 2.07 percent over the same period last year. Average price dropped 8.14 percent, export volume stood for 152 million pieces, up 10.62 percent over the same period last year.
It is noteworthy that, during the period, the export increase of table fabric products was not only seen in volume and value over the same period last year, but also far above the figure in January to March.
Of which, export volume expanded 59.24 percent and export value grew 34.51 percent. However, export unit price declined about 16 percent.
Top five destinations of China's table fabric product exports were the US, Kazakhstan, Japan, Hong Kong, and Germany.
China’s table fabric product exports to the US reached $34.36 million, representing a decrease of 4.18 percent while export volume decreased 2.83 percent, export price fell 2.08 percent.
During the said time, exports to Kazakhstan marked $9.74 million, a rise of 1572.39 percent over the same time last year, export volume climbed 1238.36 percent, and export price hiked 25.18 percent.
Exports to Japan reached $7.94 million, a slight fall compared with the same period last year to a rate of 0.35 percent. Export volume improved 21.93 percent and export price dropped as much as 18.03 percent.
Exports to Hong Kong experienced drop in quantity, amount and price. Value amount was down 26.54 percent, export volume dropped 16.1 percent, and export price fell 12.73 percent.
Exports Germany reached $7.23 million, a drop of 28.34 percent, export volume fell 29.16 percent, and export unit price rose over the same period last year, although the growth rate only read 1.41 percent. However, this trend is worthy of recognition. Fibre2fashion, News Desk - China
