The State Administration Quality Supervision and the National Standards Committee has published the national mandatory standards of GB1103-2007 for cotton and fine cotton velvet which will come into effect on September 1 this year.
More than 17 aspects have been amended in the new standards to help meet the advanced international standards. These would be more conducive to protect China's cotton textile industry and promote healthy development.
Recently, Hubei Fiber Inspection Bureau organized the first training course on new cotton standards in which more than 40 units were involved. Around 900 enterprises will participate in the course so as to meet market challenges. Fibre2fashion News Desk - China
