Some 8 months remain until CHIC 2008 starts but preparations for the next fair are already reaching top speed. CHIC continues to develop at a dramatic rate following its 16th anniversary. The exhibition recruitment has been started up and all the Exhibitor's Manuals and Application forms have been sent out.

Last month CHIC have sent working groups to Shishi, Jinjiang and Quanzhou of Fujian Province, Guangzhou and Shenzhen of Guangdong Province which are the important apparel industry cities in China and France, Italy, Japan, Korea, met with the local apparel associations, agents and representatives of the “would-be” exhibitors, to maximize business opportunities in Asia and Europe of the show.

During visiting Shishi, Jinjiang and Quanzhou of Fujian Province, representatives from local apparel companies agreed that there will be more opportunities in CHIC2008 with its one session gathering women’s wear and men’s wear together and the Olympic Games opening in Beijing. Positive responses poured from CHIC2007’s exhibitors during visiting in Guangdong Province. Accompanied by Guangdong Garment Association, CHIC2008 working group visited local apparel companies respectively and gave a face to face introduction of next fair.

CHIC 2008 working groups met with Japan External Trade Organization, the organizer of Japan Fashion Fair in Beijing 2007-CHIC,Garment Association of Japan,Fashion Association of Japan etc and garment companies’ representatives, they fully recognized the positive result in CHIC2007, and were preparing for the next fair.

In Korea, Korean Apparel Industry Association, the organizer of Korea Pavilion and JES MEDIA will go on organizing companies attending.

In France “Who’s Next/Premiere Classe” organizers told that they were planning to expand France Pavilion area next year. Federation Francaise Du Pret A porter Feminin would like to recommend France apparel companies attending too.

CHIC 2008 working groups attending PITTI UOMO in Italy, met with more than 30 companies, they all had interest with Chinese market.
