Marks & Spencer has rolled out a new range of menswear for the 30 + fashion conscious men. The retailer hopes the move will be another step in its turnaround and particularly that of its menswear offer, which is regaining market share after years of decline in the late 1990s.
However, the launch of a fashion range for this age group is risky business as men in their thirties are conservative and brand conscious and tend to stick to their labels as well as their shopping habits.
Meanwhile, the clothing giant has re-engineered a first of its kind machine washable suit. The suit combi-ning construction techniques of bespoke tailoring with mass production makes use of superior quality wool blends that do not require expensive dry cleaning.
