2003-7-2 9:31:00
The Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) has decided to start investigating a dumping case involving polyester staple fibre from South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand on June 27, 2003.
Chairperson of KADI Halida Miljani said here Friday the decision was made at the request of the Association of Indonesian Synthetic Fibre Producers (AFSyFI) on behalf domestic industrial enterprises.
"KADI has studied the request and found strong indications that polyester staple fibre imported from South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand at dumping prices had caused a great loss to local producers of similar products," she said.
In this context, he added, all parties concerned both from domestic industries, importers in Indonesia, exporters and producers of South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand, were given a chance to give KADI further information.
"We (KADI) are awaiting additional information, responses or views on the investigation of the case in writing," Halida said.
